William Bernet, MD

William Bernet, M.D., a professor emeritus at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, has testified as an expert in forensic psychiatry about 300 times in 24 states.  In 2007, Dr. Bernet and Judge Don R. Ash published Children of Divorce: A Practical Guide for Parents, Therapists, Attorneys, and Judges.  Dr. Bernet edited Parental Alienation, DSM-5, and ICD-11 (2010).  Dr. Bernet and his colleagues edited Parental Alienation: The Handbook for Mental Health and Legal Professionals (2013). Dr. Bernet and Demosthenes Lorandos edited Parental Alienation – Science and Law (2020).  He was the founder and first president of the Parental Alienation Study Group.

Larry DeMarco, Esq

Larry DeMarco is a partner in the law firm of DeMarco & DeMarco, P.C., and the founder of The Law Center. He is one of the few lawyers with an advanced law degree in trial advocacy from Temple Law School.  He also operates The Law Center YouTube Channel, a free video library for self-represented litigants in family court, which includes a 45 video playlist on Parental Alienation Awareness–co-written by prominent members of the Parental Alienation Study Group.  He also serves as the Executive Manager of The International Council for Men and Boys, a 501(c)3 non-profit seeking equality for men and boys.

Larry’s passion is to reduce the trauma for families undergoing the pain of separation, especially for innocent children. Larry underwent a 10-year custody and support battle involving his own child and he experienced the vulnerability of parents in the family law court system firsthand. He understands that parents must not only protect themselves from scorned lovers but also from a financially motivated legal system that exploits the parents.Larry produced the Family Court Custody Bootcamp, a revolutionary online program that gives custody litigants a crash course in legal education.  His program substantially reduces the cost of high conflict litigation without sacrificing the quality of representation.  He trains and coaches self-represented litigants to work with “limited scope attorneys,” which is a dramatically more affordable solution than retaining a private attorney for full-scope representation.

Robert Garza

Robert Garza is an advocate for equality, co-parenting and parental rights, aiming to reform the family court system for children’s benefit. Over a 14-year custody battle, he faced 43+ false CPS allegations (silver bullets), spending over $700,000 in family court and all allegations ruled out. This experience fueled his dedication to support others facing similar challenges. Robert actively lobbies for legislative changes, traveling to over 40+ states to promote modern family law reform. In Texas, he played a key role in writing the “Time Taken Time Back” bill (SB-718), signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott in 2023, which aims to restore lost parenting time, stop Parental Alienation, and improve court efficiency.

Julie Grayson, JD, CFM is the Executive Director of the Family Preservation Alliance and a nationally recognized legislative advocate on family and criminal law reform, testifying in hearings throughout the United States.  She sits on numerous local, national and international committees regarding constitutional rights and court reform. Joan Kloth-Zanard has a Masters in Marriage and Family therapy Magna Cum Laude.  She is an expert and consultant in the fields of American Disability Act, Custodial Interference, Parental Alienation, psychological abuse, as well as interventions, techniques and strategies for moving forward and rebuilding a life after a traumatic event, or series of traumatic events.  She has been working with families and Domestic Violence issues for over 35 years with 25 specializing in the psychological abuse and trauma caused by custodial interference and parental alienation. She founded her nonprofit, PAS Intervention, after her own family became victims of the psychological abuse from the criminal act of custodial interference.  She presently runs two 501c3 nonprofits related to her work with psychological abuse. She is the author of two books, “Where Did I Go Wrong? Carolyn MacCloud

Carolyn MacCloud is a dedicated mother of three and a survivor of domestic violence who has become a leading advocate for those facing parental alienation. Her personal journey has fueled her commitment to providing essential support and clarity to others in similar situations.
For over twelve years, MacCloud has studied parental alienation. In March 2020, she began assisting Dr. Jennifer Jill Harman with managing inquiries from distressed parents, and she has since supported thousands globally through resources, legal aid, and expert coaching.
MacCloud’s advocacy includes founding the Colorado Survivors Caucus and collaborating with Violence Free Colorado. In the summer of 2023, she worked on an ECHO Project with the National Center on Domestic Violence Trauma and Health. She is also the Public Relations & Community Outreach Director for the National Parents Organization. In 2022, she earned her Paralegal Certificate from Boston University and launched Parental Alienation Consultants. Her story of reuniting with her eldest daughter is featured on the Let’s Table That Podcast.
MacCloud has actively influenced Colorado policy for over a decade, notably advocating against harmful language in Colorado HB-1350 and rallying opposition on legislation such as Kayden’s Law. Her work continues to drive change, though much remains to be done.
